Ingredients:
- 1 (28 oz.) can Dei Fratelli Tomato Puree
- 2 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3 Rosemary Sprigs, or 1 tsp. dried rosemary
- 3 Thyme Sprigs, or 0.75 tsp. dried thyme
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Cup White Wine
- 6 Chicken Thighs or Breasts
- 1 Shallot, minced
- Salt, as needed
Instructions:
- In a Dutch oven or large pot, heat oil on the stovetop over medium-high heat.
- Take the chicken breasts pr thighs and pat them dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and place them skin side down in the oil.
- Allow the chicken to brown, about 3-5 minutes, flip them and brown the other side for another 3-5 minutes.
- Add garlic and shallots to the chicken and sauté.
- Add white wine, Dei Fratelli Tomato Puree, rosemary, and thyme to your pot.
- Bring your pot to a simmer, cover with a lid and let your Italian Braised Chicken continue to simmer for 1 hour.
- Remove your lid and continue to let your pot simmer until the sauce is at the consistency you prefer.
- Serve with roasted zucchini, garlic bread, or your favorite pasta for a delicious family meal!
