Kapusta
Ingredients:
- 1 (14 oz.) can Silver Fleece Sauerkraut, drained
- 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 4 slices Bacon, diced
- 1/2 Onion, diced
- 1 Cup Mushrooms, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp. Caraway Seeds
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp. Cumin
- 1/4 Cup Water
Instructions:
- In a medium frying pan, cook the bacon over medium heat. Cook until the bacon is crispy an the fat is rendered.
- Add in olive oil, diced onions, and mushrooms. Cook until the onions are golden and the mushrooms are soft.
- Stir in Silver Fleece Sauerkraut, brown sugar, caraway seeds, salt, pepper, cumin, and water to complete the Kapusta mixture.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer the Kapusta for 10-15 minutes.
