Baked Ziti
Ingredients:
- 1 (24 oz.) jar Dei Fratelli Homestyle Pasta Sauce
- 1 (16 oz.) package Ziti Pasta
- 1 lb. Ground Beef
- 1 White Onion, diced
- 6 slices Provolone Cheese
- 6 slices Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 1/2 Cups Sour Cream
- 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- 1/4 Cup Fresh Basil, chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook ziti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- While ziti is cooking, add beef to a large skillet and cook over medium heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes. Drain grease.
- Add onions and continue cooking until onions are translucent, about 5 minutes. Add Dei Fratelli Homestyle Pasta Sauce and mix together. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- In a lightly greased baking dish, place half the cooked ziti on the bottom in an even layer. Top with alternating slices of provolone and mozzarella, 3 slices each. Spread half of the sauce mixture evenly on top of the cheese, followed by an even layer of all the sour cream. Repeat the layers a second time, starting with the noodles and ending with the sauce.
- Top with parmesan cheese and half of the basil. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and sauce is slightly bubbly. Garnish with remaining fresh basil.
