Almond Butter Barbecue Rotisserie Chicken

With nutty almond butter, sweet molasses, and a little smoked paprika this chicken is the perfect combination of sweet and spicy for the whole family to enjoy in under 60 minutes.

Ingredients:
- 1 (15 oz.) can Dei Fratelli Tomato Sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 Cup Onion, minced
- 1/2 Cup Almond Butter
- 1/4 Cup Tamari
- 1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar, packed
- 2 Tbsp. Molasses
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp. Cayenne
- 1/2 tsp. Smoked Paprika
- 1 (30 oz.) whole Rotisserie Chicken, cooked
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 F.
- In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil, and onion over medium-high heat. Cook minced onions until softened, stirring occasionally, for about 3-5 minutes.
- Add Dei Fratelli Tomato Sauce and other remaining ingredients to the medium saucepan. Whisk together and allow to simmer until slightly thickened, about 8-10 minutes.
- Remove almond butter barbecue sauce from heat and blend sauce until smooth with a blender.
- Spread barbecue sauce over a cooked rotisserie chicken until it is coated thoroughly.
- Bake rotisserie chicken in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until well heated.

Save your leftover barbecue sauce for serving!
