Ingredients:
For the Seafood Marinade
- 1 (15 oz.) can Dei Fratelli Tomato Sauce
- 4 Tbsp. Cajun Spice Blend
- 1/4 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 Cup Red Wine Vinegar
- 4 Tbsp. Butter, melted
For the Surf and Turf Boil
- 1 lb. Shrimp
- 1/2 lb. Crab legs, optional
- 3 Corn on the Cob, cut into 2-3 inch long pieces
- 2 lbs. Baby Potatoes, cut in quarters
- 2 lbs. Smoked Sausage , sliced
- 3 Steaks, cubed or sliced, optional
Instructions:
- Combine Dei Fratelli Tomato Sauce, Cajun spice blend, olive oil, and red wine vinegar together. Remove 1 cup of this seafood marinade and set aside for later.
- Add the shrimp, crab legs, sausage, and steak to the remaining seafood marinade and toss lightly to make sure all proteins are evenly coated.
- Cover and let the marinated meat rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- While the protein is marinating, add corn and potatoes to a stock pot.
- Fill a stock pot with water and bring it to a boil on medium-high heat.
- Add potatoes and corn to the stock pot and let the vegetables boil until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Strain the vegetables and set them aside to cool. Once your protein is fully marinated, you are ready to move on to the next steps.
- Optional: Heat up your grill and sear the steaks, crab legs, shrimp and sausage for a minute. You will just want to sear them until you see grill marks, do not fully cook the protein yet.
- Add all the meat and vegetables together in a grill-safe aluminum pan or baking dish. Pour in the remaining 1 cup of marinade and toss to coat both meat and vegetables evenly.
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil, and place on a grill or oven (heated to 400 F) to cook for 20-30 minutes or until everything is cooked through and the potatoes are fork tender.
