For over 100 years, we have preserved clean, high-quality tomato products made with care by our family-owned and operated, Hirzel Canning Company & Farms. We were founded in 1923, by Carl R. Hirzel, a former brewmaster who transitioned to farming during Prohibition, our story began with his desire for honest farming and continues today with a commitment to simple ingredients and rich, farm-fresh flavor.
Locally Grown
Our own Hirzel Farms and 26 other local family farmers grow the crops near our facilities in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. This close partnership not only ensures clean, high-quality products for your family, but also supports local communities and honors a long-standing tradition of care, integrity, and real food you can trust.
Vine Ripened
We let our tomatoes ripen naturally on the vine in open fields, under the summer sun so they develop their full flavor, vibrant color, and rich nutrients just the way nature intended.
