Tangy Tom Wings
Ingredients:
- 1 (15 oz.) can Dei Fratelli Tomato Sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Baking Powder
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Black Pepper
- 5 lbs. Chicken Wings, thawed
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 2 Tbsp. Garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. + 2 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper
- 3 Tbsp. Honey
- 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 3 Fresh Rosemary Sprigs
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 250 F.
- Mix together baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Lightly toss chicken wings in mixture until evenly coated. Place in oven for 30 minutes, flipping occasionally. This will allow the wings to be crispy when finished.
- While wings are baking, melt butter over medium heat in a large saucepan. Add garlic, crushed red pepper, and honey. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Slowly add Dei Fratelli Tomato Sauce, stirring constantly for 2 minutes. Whisk in heavy whipping cream and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes. Add rosemary and let cook for 5 more minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Once wings are done, remove from oven and increase temperature to 400 F. Coat wings in sauce until fully covered. Return to baking pan.
- Continue baking wings for 1 hour, flipping every 15 minutes for even cooking. Brush additional sauce on wings during every flip if desired.
