Skillet Barbecued Steak
Ingredients:
- 1 (10.75 oz.) can Dei Fratelli Gluten-Free Tomato Soup
- 2 Tbsp. Flour
- 2 lbs. Round Steak, or flank
- 2 Tbsp. Shortening
- 1/3 Cup White Onion, diced
- 1 tsp. Garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice, fresh
- 2 tsp. Yellow Mustard
- Hot Sauce, to taste
Instructions:
- Place flour in a bowl. Dip steak into flour until well coated on all sides.
- Heat shortening in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat until melted. Place steak in pan and brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from pan and set aside.
- Add onion, celery, and garlic and cook until tender, about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add Dei Fratelli Gluten-Free Tomato Soup and remaining ingredients. Combine well.
- Return steak to pan. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, or until steak is cooked to desired tenderness.
