These delicious Savory Cookies are perfectly paired with your favorite pasta dish! Made with Dei Fratelli Stewed Tomatoes, maple syrup, sunflower oil, and hot sausage these stuffed rolls are perfect for your dinner table.

Ingredients:
FOR TOMATO SECRET:
- 1 (28 oz.) can Dei Fratelli Stewed Tomatoes, drained and chopped
- Nonstick Cooking Spray, as needed
FOR SAVORY COOKIES:
- 1/2 Cup Tomato Secret Recipe
- 1 Cup Self-Rising Flour
- 2/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- 1 tsp. Baking Soda
- 2/3 Cup Hot Sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 2 Eggs
- 3 Tbsp. Sunflower Oil
- 1 Tbsp. Oregano, dried
- 1/2 Cup Butter, melted
- 2 tsp. Roasted Garlic, minced
Instructions:
FOR TOMATO SECRET:
- Preheat oven to 300 F.
- Spray a baking sheet with oil. Pat Dei Fratelli Stewed Tomatoes with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture, as much as possible. Place tomatoes evenly throughout the tray to ensure even baking. Bake tomatoes for 40 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. Store in the fridge.
FOR SAVORY COOKIES:
- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, cheese, and baking soda. Set aside.
- In a larger bowl, combine the Tomato Secret recipe, sausage, eggs, oil, and oregano. Slowly incorporate the flour and mix until a dough is formed.
- Place spoon-sized balls of the dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 8 minutes.
- Combine the melted butter and garlic in a small bowl. Remove the cookies from the oven and brush a generous amount of the butter over each cookie. Continue baking for 2 additional minutes.
