Old Fashioned Spiced Ketchup

Add some flair to this traditional condiment! Dei Fratelli Tomato Puree, garlic, cayenne pepper and cinnamon add some extra spice to our Old Fashioned Spiced Ketchup that goes great with fries, nuggets, sandwiches, and burgers!

Ingredients:
- 1 (28 oz.) can Dei Fratelli Tomato Puree
- 1 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 Cup White Onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. Garlic, minced
- 1 Cup Light Brown Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 tsp. Mustard Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
- 1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. Allspice
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until translucent, about 8-10 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook an additional minute.
- Add remaining ingredients. Combine together and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and allow to simmer for one hour, stirring occasionally.
- Using a food processor, puree mixture until completely smooth, about 3-4 minutes. Let cool.
Chef's Tip:
Great with sweet potato fries, on a hot dog, or with your favorite burger!
