Bulk or barreled sauerkraut, perfectly fermentated, as we have been doing for over 100 years. We start with fresh cabbage from local, family farms and create shreds to mix with salt and fully ferment to create a firm, fresh, and crisp topping. This high acid flavor is perfect to add some crunch to your hotdogs, or even make a delicious kimchi.

  • In 1923 our founder, Carl R. Hirzel, packed his first barrel of sauerkraut. It started then just as it does now, by using the finest cabbage grown on local, family farms.
  • Our products are produced in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices in a manner to assure a clean and wholesome product.
  • Uniformly cut to approximately 1/32-inch in thickness and are of reasonable length

INGREDIENTS: Cabbage, Water, Salt, Lactic Acid, Sodium Benzoate (preservative), and Potassium Metabisulfite (preservative).
