Tomato Soup

Our recipe for Tomato Soup adds our #10 can of Dei Fratelli Crushed Tomatoes, garlic, and celery to make this Foodservice recipe taste homemade. This soup has a great flavor that makes it able to be served alone with some garnishes, or paired with any grilled sandwich!

Ingredients:
- 1 #10 can Crushed Tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
- 1 qt. White Onion, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. Garlic, minced
- 2 Cups Carrot, chopped
- 1 Cup Celery, chopped
- 11 Cups Chicken Broth
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 tsp. Salt
- 2 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 tsp. Thyme
- Hot Sauce, to taste
Instructions:
- In a large pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté until onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
- Add carrots and celery. Continue cooking until veggies are tender, about 8-10 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Stir in Dei Fratelli Crushed Tomatoes and remaining ingredients. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Chef's Tip:
Serve with your favorite grilled sandwich to make a complete meal!
