Black Bean Burger
Ingredients:
- 1 (14.5 oz.) can Dei Fratelli Chopped Mexican Tomatoes, drained, 1/2 Cup for recipe, reserve the rest for garnish
- 2 1/2 Cups White Rice, cooked
- 1 Cup Garbanzo Beans, drained
- 1 Cup Black Beans, drained
- 1/2 tsp. Cumin
- 1/2 tsp. Granulated Garlic
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Instructions:
- In a food processor, grind the garbanzo beans into a paste.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the rice, black beans, and 1/2 cup of Dei Fratelli Chopped Mexican Tomatoes.
- Take 1 1/3 cups of the black bean mixture and add to the ground garbanzo beans in the food processor. Blend together until well combined.
- Combine the garbanzo mixture from the food processor and the black bean mixture in the bowl. Add the seasonings and mix together.
- Place 1/2 cup of the finished mixture and press into patties about 3/4 inch thick. Repeat until the entire mixture is gone.
- In a sauté pan on medium heat, add 1 Tbsp. olive oil. When hot, add patties and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side.
- Top with remaining Dei Fratelli Chopped Mexican Tomatoes.
