Ingredients:
FOR PULL-APART ROLLS:
- 4 Cups Self-Rising Flour
- 2 Cups Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 Egg, beaten
- Poppy Seeds, to taste
- Granulated Onion, to taste
- Sea Salt, to taste
- 1/2 Cup Butter, melted
- Nonstick Cooking Spray, as needed
FOR SEASONED TOMATO BUTTER:
- 1 (14.5 oz) can Dei Fratelli Seasoned Diced Tomatoes, drained and roughly chopped, reserve juice
- 1 lb. Unsalted Butter, softened
- 2 Tbsp. Reserved Tomato Juice
- 2 Tbsp. Pickled Banana Peppers, diced
- 1/2 tsp. Vinegar
- Sea Salt, to taste
- Black Pepper, to taste
Instructions:
FOR PULL-APART ROLLS:
- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Mix self-rising flour and Greek yogurt together in a medium bowl until well combined. Knead for 60 seconds on a lightly floured surface. until a ball is formed.
- Roll dough out so it will fit comfortably in a greased 9x13 glass baking dish. Make perforations with a fork in the dough to create 20 squares that can be pulled apart easily.
- Brush rolls with the egg wash and sprinkle poppy seeds, granulated onion, and sea salt evenly over the rolls.
- Bake for 22-24 minutes. Remove from oven and prick each roll in the center with a fork. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the rolls and bake for an additional 6 minutes or until golden brown.
FOR SEASONED TOMATO BUTTER:
- While the pull-apart rolls are baking, whip softened butter with a stand mixer or hand mixer until fluffy and almost double in size. Be sure to scrape butter down off the sides of the bowl.
- Add Dei Fratelli Seasoned Diced Tomatoes, reserved juice, banana peppers, vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Mix for an additional 30 seconds on high. Serve with homemade pull-apart rolls.
