Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz.) can Dei Fratelli Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Onion minced
  • 1/2 Cup Almond Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Tamari
  • 1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar packed
  • 2 Tbsp. Molasses
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp. Smoked Paprika
  • 1 (30 oz.) whole Rotisserie Chicken cooked

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  • In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil, and onion over medium-high heat. Cook minced onions until softened, stirring occasionally, for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add Dei Fratelli Tomato Sauce and other remaining ingredients to the medium saucepan. Whisk together and allow to simmer until slightly thickened, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove almond butter barbecue sauce from heat and blend sauce until smooth with a blender.
  • Spread barbecue sauce over a cooked rotisserie chicken until it is coated thoroughly.
  • Bake rotisserie chicken in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until well heated.

Notes

Save your leftover barbecue sauce for serving!
