This Lentil Taco Filler is the perfect vegetarian replacement instead of including meat in your tacos. With our jug of Dei Fratelli Medium Salsa, green lentils, and quinoa, you will have a healthy gluten-free Foodservice recipe that everyone will enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (70 oz.) jug Medium Salsa
  • 1 Cup Canola Oil
  • 8 Cups Green Lentils, cooked
  • 4 Cups Quinoa, cooked
  • 1/2 Cup Taco Seasoning
  • 2 Cups White Onion, minced

Instructions:

  • In a large, non-stick pot, heat oil over medium heat. Add cooked lentils and quinoa and fry for 5-6 minutes.
  • Add taco seasoning and minced onion. Combine well. Continue cooking another 5-6 minutes. Move mixture to one side of the pot.
  • Add Dei Fratelli Our Original Salsa Medium to the other side of the pot. Stir only the salsa and cook until most of the liquid has evaporated, about 12-18 minutes. Mix all ingredients together.
