Traditional Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
You just can’t beat the classics! Traditional Spaghetti with Meat Sauce provides all the Italian flavor in the comfort of your home. Dei Fratelli Crushed Tomatoes, whole wheat spaghetti pasta, and chopped onion, carrot, and celery make this dish a veggie-packed family favorite.

Ingredients
- 1 (28 oz.) can Dei Fratelli Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 lb. Whole Wheat Spaghetti Pasta
- 3 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Cup White Onion finely chopped
- 1/2 Cup Carrot finely chopped
- 1/2 Cup Celery finely chopped
- 4 tsp. Garlic minced
- 4 tsp. Italian Seasoning
- 1 lb. Ground Turkey
- 1/4 Cup Fresh Parsley chopped
- 1 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- While pasta is cooking, heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, and celery and cook until onions begin to brown, about 6-8 minutes. Stir in garlic and Italian seasoning and cook an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Add turkey and continue cooking until brown, about 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add Dei Fratelli Crushed Tomatoes and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until sauce thickens. Stir in parsley and salt. Toss with pasta.
Notes
Garnish with grated parmesan cheese. Can easily be substituted with ground chicken or beef!
