Flavorful and packed full of heat, our Harissa Salsa is made with our famous Dei Fratelli Petite Diced Tomatoes! We added chipotle chili powder and paprika to bring the spice we all crave!

Ingredients:

  • 1 (28 oz.) can Dei Fratelli Petite Diced Tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Tomato Paste
  • 1 Tbsp. Sweet Paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. Coriander, ground
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Cumin, ground
  • 1 tsp. Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. Sea Salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/3 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. Chipotle Chili Powder
  • Black Pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  • Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add tomato paste, paprika, coriander, cumin, garlic, salt, red pepper flakes, and cayenne.  Stir to combine and cook until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add Dei Fratelli Petite Diced Tomatoes, maple syrup, and chili powder.  Mix well and bring to a simmer for 5 minutes. Season with black pepper.

Chef's Tip:

Use immediately or store in a tightly sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.  Serve with fresh veggies or tortilla chips.
