Showcase all the flavors of a famous deli sandwich in one appetizer recipe with our Easy Reuben Dip! Our Silver Fleece Sauerkraut, dill pickles, and thousand island dressing combine to create a dip served perfectly in a loaf of rye bread.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (27 oz.) can Silver Fleece Sauerkraut, drained, rinsed, and squeezed dry
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 2/3 Cup Thousand Island Dressing
  • 1/2 lb. Turkey Pastrami, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 lb. Swiss Cheese, grated
  • 1 Cup Baby Kosher Dill Pickles, drained, chopped
  • 1 lb. Round Loaf Pumpernickel / Rye Bread, about 8" in diameter

Instructions:

  • Combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, and thousand island dressing and beat with a hand mixer until fairly smooth.
  • Fold in, Silver Fleece Sauerkraut, pastrami, cheese, and dill pickles with a spatula. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Hollow out the bread and line with plastic wrap.  Cut bread that was removed into wedges to use for dipping.  Place the dip inside the hollowed bread and serve.

Chef's Tip:

Garnish with caraway seeds for a boost in flavor.  Serve with additional rye bread or crackers.
