If you are looking for flavor, you found it! Double Pickled Kraut combines the tanginess of Silver Fleece Sauerkraut with the flavors of pickles, vinegar, and mustard seeds to create the perfect topper for your cookout.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (14 oz.) can Silver Fleece Sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 Cups White Onion, sliced
  • 2 Cups Pickles, chopped
  • 4 tsp. Garlic, minced
  • 2 Cups Pickle Juice
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Cup White Vinegar
  • 4 tsp. Mustard Seed
  • 2 Bay Leaves

Instructions:

  •  In a medium pot, place all liquid ingredients and spices and bring to a boil.
  • Place onions, Silver Fleece Sauerkraut, and pickles in a large heatproof bowl and cover with the boiling liquid.
  • Allow to come to room temperature and then store in glass containers in the fridge.

Chef's Tip:

Add jalapeno or serrano peppers to the vegetable mix for a touch of heat!
